After dreaming of owning a horse since the age of 8 (or earlier depending on whom you ask) I was offered the opportunity to own a Haflinger weanling who belonged to Dr. Kevin Edwards in 2008.  As my daughter Erin, and I continued to work with Trigger (registered name NicDreamy Guy) I soon realized that Erin would need someone to teach her how to ride and I also felt the need to learn the proper way to ride.  My good friend, Jacque Woodward recommended Lisa for riding lessons, and thankfully Lisa graciously accepted us into the TLC fold in February of 2009.  At first we were just taking the lessons to learn how to ride but that plan eventually turned into also taking lessons to learn how to show.   It has been so much fun watching Erin evolve from a timid rider to one who is not afraid to take control of the horse she is riding.  I have been driven to absorb as much information as I possibly can about horses and horsemanship and Lisa has helped me along the way.  Since Trigger is the only horse we currently own, he has to do it all:  trail riding, and showing both English and Western for both Erin and myself.
